not a tough choice…real food vs pills

No two situations are the same. Whether you live undisciplined, or follow a 100% perfect routine, there are some ailments that are out of your control. Sometimes problems arise that can’t be attributed to your diet or exercise. In those instances, you need to turn to some form of help, be it a doctor, or a supplement. But where do you turn and who do you trust? Medicine? Drugs? A quack online?

Modern and conventional medicine has many benefits and many lives have been saved through its use. However, much like ‘Wall Street’ and ‘Big Agriculture’ have infiltrated government, so too have ‘Big Pharmaceutical’ corporations. This is not to say that every drug developed is evil, because that simply is not true. Many drugs exist that are essential for recovery in different situations. But once again, there are many that are not.

Procinctu wants to illustrate that there are natural remedies to many of the ailments people face. You are not limited to only prescription drugs to fix a problem. The side effects of prescription drugs, in many instances, create more problems serious enough to require more drugs to fix. Before you know it, you could be popping numerous pills a day, when all you needed was to fix the first problem correctly. Instead of turning to a pill first, try viewing drugs more as a last resort. There are numerous other alternatives to explore.

Here are just a few different practices

  • naturopathy – assisting the natural healing process through special diets, herbs, vitamins, massage, etc.
  • supplements – something added to address a deficiency or reinforce a whole – supplements would include vitamins, minerals, herbs, fish oils, colloidal silver, scaler silver, etc. Vitamin supplements are simple ways to address or prevent many ailments. These are best taken when derived from natural sources. So beware, some companies sell supplements which are manufactured to mimic their natural counterparts, but aren’t natural at all. Plus, they may put ‘fillers’ into the pills that dilute what you really need. Read labels!
  • colloid – substance made up of particles dispersed in a continuous gaseous, liquid, or solid medium whose properties depend on the large specific area. These particles do not dissolve in substances, but stay suspended in them. For example, colloidal silver is taken as an anti-bacterial or antimicrobial.   • osteopathy – the adjustment of muscles and bones (back to their original state) to promote structural integrity with the intent of restoring and preserving health.
  • chiropractic – adjusting segments of ones spinal column; the justification being that interactions of the spine and nervous system are foundations of a balanced system
  • aromatherapy – use of fragrances or herbal substances to alter one’s state
  • acupuncture – procedure in which needles are inserted at specific sites of the body to treat illness and provide local anesthesia
  • homeopathy – a “like treats like” approach in which disease is treated by drugs, in minute doses, that would produce in a healthy person symptoms similar to those of the disease

Again, when investigating what technique may or may not be suitable for you, consider where you are getting your information from. Is the website or finding backed or sponsored by the government, medical association, university, manufacturer, etc? Know the motives of your information source.
